Aid to Victims of Flooding in Karmir Village

18 November 2017

In addition to supporting initiatives aimed at fostering long-term change towards improved social justice in Armenia, the Foundation, where possible, also responds to emergency situations by addressing the urgent needs of groups affected by such situations.

After massive flooding in 2000, the Foundation was among several organizations that reacted to the Gegharkunik district’s call for help; distributing food items to the most vulnerable inhabitants of Karmir village. All told, 514 inhabitants received one-time shipments of flour, sugar and vegetable oil to replace the foodstuffs they had lost.
